NVAIN NEWS AND MESSAGE BOARD

Sunday, 9 January 2005

YES I KNOW THIS SITE SUCKS!!!
but it's FREEE! Last night at JB'z we had the best goddamn show going down in the queen city. I don't care, the Mullet Milita show at Tremont or the goddamn AC/DC at Amos's, which were probably pretty good shows, but they had nothing on MORROW'S END, CONFLICT, NIRO, NVAIN. Nothing sounded like the same old shit that we are forced to inhale we go out to local shows.
MORROW'S END are a couple of young guys that deliver the pure natural angst that NIRVANA instilled in us back in the day. Great stuff Great first show and we will do it again.
CONFLICT is an abomination caused by the many changes of era's and styles through out rock and roll. A dropped 7 string crunching monster riffs all the while bass and drums stay on point. Just so a 6 string fender grabs the shit out of ya with leads and a shit load of color. The vocals managed to switch back and forth from today's growls and yesterday's melodies.
NIRO it's hard for me to put this in decent words and I'll say this right here and I'll say it any other goddamn place. These guys are BETTER than TOOL! and that's my word. From the moment they started playing to the moment they finished I was in a trance just like the time I went to my first TOOL show, but never was able to achieve at any other TOOL show again. I'm not trying to compare them to TOOL because they are way different, but there's just an erie resemblance.
I'm honored to have worked with these bands that alot of people have no idea exist, but probably not for long. Till next time stay drunk or just don't stay happy!
